Shakti cannot be harmed — but Prakriti can be. That single distinction is why women lose their power. Speaking at Shaktikumbh 2026 in Puri, Sukhvinder Sircar opens with a Rig Vedic Sukta and takes the audience into the subtle difference between Shakti — the eternal, inviolable divine force — and Prakriti — the manifested, conditioned nature that can fall out of balance. The confusion between the two is the root cause of disempowerment. The talk unfolds at Jagannath Puri, a Kshetra shaped like a conch and described as a conscious field that affects every woman differently. Sircar explains that women’s circles naturally activate Shakti because the Shakti herself is the center of the field — not the teacher, not the doctrine. The gathering is described as a journey of remembrance, not instruction. The second half explores Bhakti as the fourth and highest Purushartha — beyond Dharma, Artha, and Kama — where the act of devotion is simultaneously the means and the end. The image of the Gopis of Vrindavan closes the session: living perpetually on the edge of ecstasy, offering back to the Divine the sweetness they themselves created from its gift.
