The infinity symbol is not a Western mathematical concept — it is the ancient map of the Jeevatma’s journey toward the Paramatma. Sukhvinder Sircar frames Day 8 of Shakti Kumbha 2024 around the symbol of Ashtaananta (infinity) as a cosmological and devotional roadmap.
She introduces the concept of the Tatastha Shakti — the marginal potency of the Jeevatma, positioned on the threshold between Maya and the divine. The crucial insight she develops is that Maya Shakti does not trap or deceive us: it is the Jeevatma who freely chooses to turn toward Maya’s beautiful displays. Taking responsibility for that choice is the beginning of the return journey — from forgetfulness toward remembrance, from Vrindavan-as-illusion toward Vrindavan-as-transcendence.
The session weaves in a luminous verse from Krishna to Radha, where he explains that it is not primal desire but the removal of vikara (negativity) that draws him to her — reframing what appears to be romantic longing as the soul’s aspiration for purification through divine proximity. The session closes as a prelude to the deeper exploration of the Ashta Sakhis and Radharani’s leelas to follow.
