A counsellor in Europe is telling three-year-olds to touch themselves and asking if it feels good. This is the cutting edge of “comprehensive sexuality education” coming for Indian classrooms.
Vijaya Viswanathan, co-author of Who is Raising Your Children? with Rajiv Malhotra, presents the book’s core argument: just as Aghasura in the Bhagavata Purana lured Vrindavan’s children into his mouth under the guise of a safe cave, today’s Western-origin curricula, UN-backed CSE frameworks, and woke ideology are entering Indian schools — including aspirational private schools — and reshaping children’s identities before parents realise it has happened.
The book exposes multiple convergent operations: sexualisation of Hindu girls in media, academic Hinduphobia in curricula, and the suppression of India’s own educational innovations. The Madras Monitorial System — India’s original peer-teaching model later stolen by Lancaster and Bell and exported as a “Western invention” to be taught in Westminster Abbey — is one example. Vijaya’s alternative is concrete: her Agastya Gurukulam teaches Indian pedagogy and Indic curricula to students globally. Parents who want to protect their children need to know what is happening — and this book is the starting point.
