Speaker Introduction:
Dr Kusumlata Kedia, the harbinger of Swadeshi economic consciousness, became a professor at Kashi University in 1980. When she compared the views of big economists with the ground reality, she saw discrepancies there. So she made it the subject of her research. In 1984, she received the degree of ‘Doctor’ from Kashi University. She presented this study in her book ‘Genetic Assumptions of Development Theory’. She wrote ‘Gandhi Ji and Christianity’ with Prof. Rameshwar Mishra ‘Pankaj’ and independently wrote books like Stree Prashna – Christian mentality penetrating Hindu society, Femininity – Concepts and Reality, If vision is flawed then how to find alternatives? Image of women in Gandhi philosophy, View and status related to women, Non-violent concept of economic prosperity, Civilized context etc. Since 1992, she is a professor and senior faculty member of sociology at Gandhi Vidya Sansthan, Varanasi. Along with this, she is associated with many institutions like Indian Council of Philosophical Research, Indian Council of Social Science Research, Indian Institute of Advanced Studies (Shimla), Rit: Hindu Vidya Kendra.
