Were the Shudras truly oppressed — or is this a carefully orchestrated lie that has been taught for centuries?
Author Mithilesh Kumar Singh comes to Sangam Talks with his book “Shudron Ka Sach” and answers this question.
In this talk, Mithilesh ji explains that the word “Shudra” was originally a positive word describing the characteristic of the residents of Devaloka (the divine realm). The Rigveda contains evidence of a horizontal Varna system in which members of the same family belonged to different Varnas. India’s first Chakravarti emperor, King Sudas, was himself a Shudra. Great sages like Vashistha, Vedavyasa, and Satyakam Jabala were from Shudra lineage.
Out of 2650 verses of the Manusmriti, 1471 are interpolated — meaning they were added later. The Aryan Invasion Theory was itself rejected by Ambedkar with facts. And the Criminal Tribes Act of 1871, which was a weapon of the British, is the real reason why higher castes became untouchable within 80 years, not Hinduism.
This talk brings forward the truth of Indian history that has been deliberately hidden.
