But the story behind his inspiration is out of the ordinary. His journey as an author began with a woman named Sehmat. A Spy? A killer? or a Saint? who is she? She is an embodiment of Meera, who inspired him to write two remarkable books, about the determination and valour of two remarkable women. His book, though not portrayed properly, was eventually made into a film Razi, despite initial challenges, and opposition from Bollywood.
In this discussion, we also learn about the issue of Halal certification in India due to religious and cultural differences, which is a matter of great concern. Many food products and services are being Halal-certified without the knowledge of consumers, which has led to calls for greater transparency and regulation of the certification process.

Before embarking on his corporate journey, He served with distinction in the Indian Navy, rising to the rank of Lieutenant Commander. Commander Sikka’s commitment to public service extends beyond the military, evident in his recognition as the second Indian to receive the “Outstanding Service in the field of Anti-Counterfeiting in India” award from the Global Anti-Counterfeiting Group, Paris. has also been honoured with the coveted “Indira Super Achiever Award” in 2005, acknowledging his exceptional professional achievements. Mr. Sikka’s intellect extends beyond the boardroom. He is a prolific writer, with over 100 articles in leading Indian newspapers on critical issues such as national security, health, IPR & TRIPS, and counterfeiting. His passion for storytelling culminated in his books, “Vichoda”, and “Calling Sehmat” which not only captivated readers but also became a celebrated Bollywood film titled “Raazi”.

Rahul Dewan is an entrepreneur, angel investor, open-source software evangelist, and the founder and CEO of Srijan Technologies, an *18-year-old enterprise web content management consulting and development company with offices in New Delhi, Gurgaon, Goa, Bangalore, and San Francisco.
