Mantra Yoga in Paramadvaita Mata and Sri Karma Kali | Giriratna Mishra

Mantra Sadhana is like sitting in a train to Lucknow — if you don’t get off, you will arrive. This densely philosophical talk presents Mantra Yoga within the framework of Paramadvaitam and Shri Kramakali, drawing on Abhinavagupta’s Tantraloka and living Guru lineage.

The speaker begins with Abhinavagupta’s Adhva Prakaran — the doctrine of the six pathways — explaining the three types of definitions (Namitiki, Prasiddha, Paribhashiki) that govern every sacred term. The human body is presented as the primary receptor of mantra, and the talk traces how sound vibration travels through the six Adhvas of space and time to affect the Atma and Chetana of the practitioner.

The relationship between Par Samvit, Mantra, and Krama is unpacked with precision: dualists pursue Bhoga through the Adhva path, while the enlightened traverse it toward Mukti. The guru-disciple incident used to open the talk — a student who “doesn’t feel like doing sadhana” — grounds this elaborate metaphysics in lived practice.
