Countries like Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Cambodia lead in jackfruit industry development. Kerala, Karnataka, and Maharashtra are the only states in India currently making significant value addition to jackfruit. Ready-to-cook jackfruit products, such as those offered by Naturals in Bangalore, have entered the market. In Kerala, jackfruit is consumed as a staple during the season, sometimes replacing rice in meals. Establishing small-scale industries for ready-to-cook jackfruit products can create employment opportunities.
