1,029 inscriptions across India are dated in Kali Yuga — proving it was a real, living calendar used from North to South for millennia. Dr. M.L. Raja, eye surgeon, epigraphist, and Director of the Research Institute of Chronology and History, presents five years of groundbreaking fieldwork demolishing two myths: that fewer than 10 Kali Yuga inscriptions exist, and that India had no common era.

After cataloguing 916 stone and copper plate inscriptions plus 113 manuscripts — all dated in Kali Yuga years elapsed since its beginning — Dr. Raja shows that the same temporal tradition was followed from Tamil Nadu to Kashmir. He documents regional eras like Shalivahana, Vikrama, Gupta, and Saptarishi as parallel systems, not replacements, and maps Pandava and Draupadi temples found as far south as Thirupur and Erode, proving the cultural unity of Bharata Varsha. This is systematic epigraphic proof that Kali Yuga is not myth but documented historical chronology.

Dr. M.L. Raja is an ophthalmologist with deep expertise in epigraphy, archaeology, and history. He is currently Director of AVINASH (Academy of Vibrant National Arts and Scientific Heritage) and of RICH (Research Institute of Chronology and History). In May 2025, he was nominated by Hon’ble Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar to the Dr. S. Radhakrishnan Chair in the Rajya Sabha for one year. His academic qualifications include MBBS, DO, MA in History, and D.I.A.E. (Diploma in Indian Archaeology and Epigraphy). His research interests are focused on Indian historical chronology, ancient inscriptions, Tamil and Sanskrit sources, and preserving traditional heritage.
