Sh Subramanian Swamy, in his typical way reveals fact after fact about the vision and foresight of Savarkar, much ahead of his times, and then goes on to list the short-sighted, unwise, often agenda based political decisions of the Gandhi, Nehru and the successive Congress governments.

Savarkar was the 1st to call 1857 the First war of Independence, and not ‘mutiny’, reminds Swamy. The first indication we get of Savarkar’s acumen in foreign policy is during Gandhi’s Khilafat movement, (which Gandhi later called his ‘biggest blunder’). Savarkar had said that Gandhi had internationalized something that was our country’s issue. And predicted that this would, in future, lead to an appeasement policy in our politics, and would destroy our vision of Akhand Bharat.

Most of all, Swamy, once again, relates the biggest betrayal of Nehru to Netaji and to the Nation.

Had we followed Savarkar’s vision, we would have been a united and one strong nation.
