Year Of The Mahabharata War: Reestablishing The Tradition of ‘Vada’ – 2: #SangamDebate Between Nilesh Oak & Manish Pandit

Vada is the discussion of two different claims or positions, based on the evidence and logic, without deviation from the established tenets of Nyaya-darshana (science of reasoning/logic). Bhagavan Krishna describes genuine debate as ‘वाद: प्रवदतामहम् i.e. Philosophical discussion to discern the truth as the manifestation of the Bhagavan.

There are multiple claims for the year of the Mahabharata War. Shri Nilesh Nilkanth Oak claims 5561 BCE while Dr. Manish Pandit claims 3067 BCE, for the year of the Mahabharata War. They make these claims based on internal astronomy evidence of the Mahabharata text.

It will be for the audience to listen to both positions and use their knowledge of the scientific method and logical reasoning to ascertain which of the two claims (5561 BCE or 3067 BCE) they consider closer to the truth.
