Sandeep Balakrishna is a veteran writer, author, editor, speaker, columnist and independent researcher for about 20 years writing on Indian Philosophy, Literature, Indian History, Temples, and Indian Culture. During the course of this period, he has authored over 800 articles, essays, critiques and academic papers and delivered lectures articles on numerous topics in these areas. He writes in both English and Kannada. His articles, columns and research papers have appeared in prestigious journals, newspapers and magazines in both print and digital format and cited by the BBC, India Today, DailyO, Firstpost, Swarajya, Prekshaa Journal, Mint, CNN, and Outlook, among others.

He is the author of the bestselling History book titled, “Tipu Sultan: The Tyrant of Mysore,” which has been widely referenced and quoted in mainstream publications and Television programmes. He has translated well-known scholars and writers from Kannada to English. He has translated Padmashri and National Professor, Dr. S L Bhyrappa’s path-breaking Kannada novel, “Aavarana” into English, currently in its tenth reprint.

Sandeep Balakrishna is also a Fellow of the Indian Council for Philosophical Research.
