Partition of India was the world’s biggest holocaust and exodus of Hindus that surprisingly finds no mention in history books even to this date. 8,42,000 KM of India was sliced off on the basis of religion in order to form an Islamic country named Pakistan. August 1947 saw 30,00,000 Hindus being killed, villages burnt, and around 80,00,000 Hindus reduced to beggars and forced to flee Pakistan to save their and their families lives. Women and children were raped, mutilated and killed mercilessly.
We are thankful to partition survivor Ms Urmil Luthra ji for sharing her story with us.
