The idea of what we know today as India was sown by the Rishis of yore. This seed was watered by countless kings and sages until it took firm roots at the time of Sri Krishna. Its full efflorescence however took place with the advent of Sri Aurobindo on the national scene. This blossoming of the seed of India is the subject of discussion in this talk. It is focused on the concept of the Indian Nation as revealed to us by our great ancestors. However, this knowledge of the greatness of our past should not become a chain for our march towards a yet greater and luminous future as foreseen by Sri Aurobindo.
