India’s contribution to the world of mathematics is immense. Since Vedic times, Indians have been at the forefront of developing various mathematical concepts. Kerala has also been able to play a very proud role in this regard. Researchers have made preliminary collections of mathematicians-astrologers from various eras. This talk is a very general introduction to the 20 most prominent mathematicians of the period beginning from Vararuchi in the 4th century CE to Shankara Varman in the 18th century.
