
Dr Rana Nayar is a scholar, professor, theatre-actor & director, and the author of 22 books, around 80 articles and more than 60 presentations in national and international seminars. He is a renowned translator who won Charles Wallace Trust Fellowship and spent three months at University of Norwich (UK) in 1999. He also won first prize from Sahitya Akademi in All India Contest of Translation in 2007 for his translation of Baba Farid. He has been active in theatre as actor and director. He has acted in about a dozen productions and directed around two dozen.
