Deplorable Condition Of Children Homes In India- NCPCR Inspection | Priyank Kanoongo

Several important steps have been taken by the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights to prevent irregularities and child rights violations in child care homes. In this direction, a social audit has been conducted by the Commission of 7163 child homes located across the country and cases of child rights violations which came to light were investigated. Due to the efforts of the Commission, thousands of children living in these children homes have been resettled in their families today. With this, surprise inspections are being done by the Commission on a regular basis.

During the inspection, many such children homes have come to light where children are being used in anti-national activities like CAA protests. Not only this, unconstitutional activities like conversion of children are being done in children homes located in Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Odisha and many other states. It is the result of the continuous efforts of the Commission in relation to children homes that such cases are coming to cognizance and appropriate legal action is being taken on them.
