Col Rama, during his service of 33 years in the Indian Army , has traveled and served in many parts of India. He has participated in the wars of 1965 as well as 1971. Since his retirement from the Indian army, he has been engaged in social activism, and mentoring under privileged children of migrants in the national capital.
They say one is never too old to set a new academic goal. Col Rama completed the Masters program in Political Science at the age of 75, which he says, combined with his defence background has broadened his perspectives, enhanced clarity and better understanding of national politics and international relations.
