The National Conference on Dhara Traditional Farming, in alliance with the Indian Knowledge System of the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Culture in Tejpur witnessed the changing face of Assam, the research and facilities for milk production and rice processing to boost the economy of common farmer thus the overall development of the state. Bharatiya Gyan Parampara is an uninterrupted stream of Traditional Knowledge that should be passed on to the new generation. With this view in mind, this National conference on traditional Farming has been organised.

विषय परिचय:
धारा भारतीय पारम्परिक कृषि मेला के उद्घाटन समारोह में, जो की शिक्षा व संस्कृति मंत्रालय के संयुक्त प्रयास से आयोजित किया गया, पारम्परिक कृषि का ज्ञान व नवीन शोध के बारे में विस्तृत जानकारी देने के लिए कृषकों व विशेषज्ञों का सम्मलेन हुआ। भारतीय ज्ञान परंपरा की अविरल धारा जो की सदियों से ज्ञान का निरंतर प्रवाह बनाये हुआ है, जैसे वृक्षायुर्वेद , गौ आधारित कृषि आदि, नयी पीढ़ी के कृषकों तक पहुँचाना ही इस सम्मलेन का मुख्य उद्देश्य था।
